Burnt Ash 1 - Dartford 5
A determined Dartford team stretched their lead at the top on Saturday. Dominating much of the game and with plenty of opportunities Dartford could have scored even more. Kirsty scored early on with a good hit from the right and followed up with a second shortly after. Burnt Ash made a break and scored a quick goal towards the end of the match but it was too late for them to mount a come back.

Dartford 4 - Blackheath 0
A hatrick for Rachel Gearing helped seal a convincing win for Dartford. Three of the four goals came from short corners with two slotted neatly in by Rachel from the left and the the third coming from a strong hit by Mandy McWhinnie. The midfield players played a crucial part with Ali Chapman and Louise Polley dominating the play. Blackheath had some good moves but they were quickly cut out with what is proving to be the league's best defence.

Wellcome 0 - Dartford 4
Dartford Ladies made up for the draw earlier in the season by putting four goals past Wellcome. Some good build up work by the midfield allowed the forwards to get in position to slot the ball behind a strong Wellcome keeper.

Dartford 2 - Canterbury 0
Dartford had a tough match but were able to overcome a strong Canterbury side thanks to some excellent defending and stunning keeping from Gen.

Gore Court - 0 Darford Ladies - 1
Hey all... I am still on a bit of a high from the game sat. I think we did good! 5 points clear now courtesy of Greenwich Polygons...Again our forwards were fantastic - staying strong and battling. Rachel had another dynamic game, Kirsty really stepped up this week, getting to the ball first and really chasing back very well and of course a very unselfish pass from Rachel who could have shot herself but did the right thing to set Katie up for the conversion. A cool head and a great shot was much needed. Defensively we soaked up some intense pressure especially from the blond on their right. Very well done Julie for keeping at and keeping up with the blond who did get frustrated in the end. Some very good double teaming kept their quicker players at bay. An all round excellent performances from all - I like it when they get grumpy because us oldies are better than them!! (and the youngies!).

Old Williamsonians Ladies 2nd X1– 0 Dartford Ladies 1st XI– 0
This top of the table clash lived up to expectations of being a hard fought game. The Dartford defence again proved their strength by keeping a clean sheet (the fifth of the season) leaving Gen the goalie very little to do. However, Dartford was unable to hit the back of the net despite going close a number of times. Ali and Katie had shots that went wide and Kirsty hit the post in the dying minutes. Following the match the team were somewhat distracted by contemplation of their TV debut!

Dartford Ladies 1st XI – 5 Greenwich Polygons – 0
Dartford Ladies put in a blistering performance to emphatically beat Greenwich Polygons. The new short corner routines proved successful and resulted in three of the goals. Ali Chapman continued her goal fest with 2, whilst Rachel Gearing also scored 2 with a ‘player of the match’ winning performance on the left. Mandy McWinnie scored the fifth with a solid hit from the edge of the D. Mention has to be made of the defence who formed an impenetrable line ensuring that despite a number of attempts Greenwich were unable to break through.

Dartford Ladies 1st XI – 1New Beccehamians – 1
A top of the table clash saw an excellent performance by the defensive line to ensure Dartford were able to claim a point from the match. Debbie Pearson cut out a number of breaks in the right and Wendy Garratt frustrated the New Beccs attack. A goal down at half time Dartford fought back and a great strike by Ali Chapman beat the goalie to bring Dartford level. Continued pressure from New Beccs was absorbed by Dartford and the whistle came as somewhat of a relief.

Blackheath Ladies 3rd X1 - 0 Dartford Ladies 1st XI - 4
The team returned to their winning ways with a superb performance against Blackheath. The mid-field players switched play successfully resulting in the attack coming from both sides. The first goal came when Rachel Gearing calmly slotted the ball round the keeper breaking the rule that she never scored when her mother plays! The next 3 goals came at regular intervals giving Dartford a convincing win. This puts the team 2 points clear at the top of the league.

Dartford Ladies 1st XI - 0Wellcome Ladies 1st XI - 0
Dartford Ladies failed to maintain their winning record despite keeping another clean sheet. The defence remained solid through out the game giving keeper Gen very little to do. However, despite having the majority of play Dartford were unable to convert any of their chances.

Canterbury 0 - Dartford Ladies 1st XI 3
Dartford Ladies 1st XI climb to third in the league after a convincing 3-0 win away at Canterbury. Dartford went ahead in the first half after a short corner hit by Mandy McWinnie was deflected round the keeper by Katie Selvey-Clinton. Dartford then took advantage of the new rules when McWinnie was awarded an unexpected free hit which she dribbled round the keeper and calmly slotted into the net. The controversy continued when a Dartford defender was carded and another sent to the dugout after an over exuberant comment on an umpiring decision. However, the defence stood firm and Dartford sealed the victory when Sam Moore turned a superb cross into the back of the net.

Dartford Ladies 1st XI - 3 Gore Court 3rd XI - 2
Saturday saw Dartford Ladies play the first Kent League hockey match at their new home ground at Dartford Technology College. Gore Court were first to score after a break against the run of play and they quickly followed this with a second goal. Dartford fought back and pulled one back before half time when a cross was turned in by Katie Selvey-Clinton. Dartford continued to apply pressure in the second half and were rewarded when Louise Polley hit a blistering shot from 10 metres into the corner of the net. Then with two minutes to go Sam Moore turned in the winning goal giving Dartford a well deserved victory.

Gore Court 3 Dartford Ladies 1st XI 4
The friendly fixture with Gore Court was dominated by Dartford throughout the match. A number of players were playing out of their normal position. Namely Debs played in goal, Sam in midfield and Sarah on the back line. Dartford quickly went 1 - 0 down at the beginning of the game but came back strongly to go 3 - 2 ahead at half time. Early in the 2nd half Gore Court pulled back but Dartford continued to push forward and was rewarded with a fourth goal midway through the second half.
The Dartford team consisted of Debs, Caroline, Julie, Sarah R, Sarah E, Mandy, Jane, Sam, Kirsty Katie and Rachel. Goalscorers were Rachel (3) and Kirsty (1). Beers on Rachel - if only she was old enough to buy them.
Everyone played out of their socks. The forwards were truely oustanding and were fantastically supported by the midlfield. Looking forward to the fixture next week - against Gore Court again - but this time its a league game.
